On the home page of their website, Airtable describe their software:
“Part spreadsheet, part database, and entirely flexible, teams use Airtable to organize their work, their way.”
This description is good, but in no way does justice to what Airtable can do for your business!
Airtable goes on to say: “Organize anything, with anyone, from anywhere.
Our native mobile and desktop apps make it easy to edit, comment, and collaborate in real-time — changes are instantly synced across everyone’s devices.”
So it’s a database that you use very much like a spreadsheet: the power of a database, with the ease-of-use of a spreadsheet. But this spreadsheet is easily and beautifully viewable on any device!
Try doing that on Google sheets or excel!

Here are just a few case studies:
- track my domain, hosting, software costs – and I get a reminder when a payment is due – whether annually or monthly. I choose to get a reminder via Slack, but I could get an SMS or email.
- complete coaching CRM
- marketing calendar
- Startup Tablelands uses it to track event attendees, with a view for our caterer. This is a web-link where the caterer just sees the numbers and food preferences. She is given that link so has always up-to-date info that she needs without having to contact us. The event attendee details are automatically added to the Airtable base from the website and then the caterer view is also automatically added. So no extra work for anyone.
